What's actually on the IBEW aptitude test?
The written test has two sections: Algebra & Functions and Reading Comprehension. You’ll also have a panel interview after you pass. No calculators allowed. This course prepares you for all of it.
Are calculators allowed on the exam?
No. You get scratch paper and a pencil only. The course teaches you the methods and shortcuts to solve every problem type — fast and accurately — without a calculator.
What are the passing scores?
Most locals score on a 1–9 scale. A 4 or 5 typically qualifies you for the interview, but the higher you score, the better your placement. We don’t just aim to pass you — we aim to get you to an 8 or 9.
What if I fail and need to retake?
