I’m 25. I haven’t done high school math since I graduated high school in 2019. This Course did a great job prepping me the week before my aptitude test. Guided every night for a week straight. I will say the graphing that I practice on this was pretty different from what was on my aptitude test. But everything else that I encountered was spot on. Reading comprehension was an absolute breeze. Passed my test as well! Great course.

I am writing this review as of 10/17/2026 and I would highly recommend this course to anyone studying for the aptitude test. I personally used both this course and another super popular course and widely recommeded course. I found this one to be better overall but, more specifically within the lessons and the way they are taught, the way the course is structured, and how each quiz for the most part has different questions each time you take it.
The videos are very clear, and they explain everything. After taking this course, I feel much more confident going into the exam.
I would have been lost going into my aptitude test without this> I remember all of this stuff but definitely forgot the formulas and exactly how to do it and this is a great refresher. remember the better you do on your aptitude test the higher your chances of getting hired are. What's actually on the IBEW aptitude test?
The written test has two sections: Algebra & Functions and Reading Comprehension. You’ll also have a panel interview after you pass. No calculators allowed. This course prepares you for all of it.
Are calculators allowed on the exam?
No. You get scratch paper and a pencil only. The course teaches you the methods and shortcuts to solve every problem type — fast and accurately — without a calculator.
What are the passing scores?
Most locals score on a 1–9 scale. A 4 or 5 typically qualifies you for the interview, but the higher you score, the better your placement. We don’t just aim to pass you — we aim to get you to an 8 or 9.
